Anarchist Days Dresden 2026

In US history, periods where the government is weilded against movements of the left, criminalizing them and justifying their supression by state and paramilitary means are known as Red Scares. We are in one such period now. The US government is enganging deadly force and pursuing sentences of decades in prison for so-called terrorism and conspiracy against people resisting immigration sweeps, showing solidarity for people in prison and detention, protesting the US-backing of genocidal apartheit states abroad and police murders and surveillance at home. This comes alongside the erasure of queer and trans people, ecological devastation, the rollback of progress in racial and gender equality and host of other, inter-related struggles in which political radicals often actively engage. In this presentation, Bursts from The Final Straw Radio will talk about some of this context, the court cases and some of the ways people are fighting back against rising fascism of the US state. This will be followed by a Q&A period.
